KARAVES

Karaves (small boats) originate from the Cyclades, usually from Paros or Mykonos, and can be traced back in the 1930’s, when kids used to make them as toys. Each kid would make their own karava, from feta or olive oil tin cans, and would decorate them on their own unique colours. These days, people decorate Karavas during Christmas as a traditional Greek alternative to the christmas Tree.
